Old vs New table tennis rubber: Is there a difference in performance? Gambler Outlaw

Today you can buy many different types of table tennis rubber some costing over £40 and some people will change these sheets of rubber every couple of months. That’s a lot of money. We decided to look at one of the pre tuned inverted rubbers to see if some of our players could tell a difference in performance. We compared a new sheet of Gambler Outlaw to a 12 week old sheet which had been used on average 8-10 hrs a week. I was expecting them to find that the new rubber was faster and spinnier but it didn’t quite work out like that…..
